The association “Latvian Red Cross” (hereinafter – LatRC) implements the action programme of the European Union approved by the State Education Development Agency in the sphere of Lifelong learning for 2007–2013, Leonardo da Vinci, sub-programme Mobility (People in Labour market) project No. 2013-1-LV1-LEO02-05174 „Best Practice, Competences, and Skill Improvement of the Heads of Committees of the Latvian Red Cross”.

Project implementation period: October 2013 – November 2014

Objective: to increase the professional and personal development of participants, practical training, to improve inter-cultural and language competences, as well as to improve knowledge on the issues related to narcotic substances. With the assistance of qualified and competence of participants, to develop the respective spheres of operation, to improve the professional competences of Latvian Red Cross participants and their personal growth, obtaining experience in international practice to improve the work of LatRC, its services using new methods. Therefore the abilities and resources of LatRC will be improved to implement the goals of organisation.

Length of mobility/practice: 2 weeks, one participant to each of the following countries: Norway, Italy, Sweden, Austria.

Hosting partners of the project: Norwegian Red Cross, Foundation Villa Maraini O.N.L.U.S., Swedish Red Cross, Austrian Red Cross.

Project funding: EUR 10,106.00.
