Latvian Red Cross traveling exhibition in Talsi

On Friday, January 8, Latvian Red Cross opened its traveling exhibition in Talsi city. The exhibition was opened with a speech by Mr. Uldis Likops, LatRC Secretary General, Mr.Aivars Lacarus, Talsi City Council Chairman, and Martins Vesperis – the curator of this exhibition, specialist of Pauls Stradins Museum of history of medicine. Also Mrs. Anita Boitmane, executive director of LatRC Kurzeme branch, welcomed all the visitors.

Everyone can visit the exhibition in Talsi Regional Museum until 31th of January. In exhibition every interested person can see different items and information materials – photos, honorary signs, posters, newspapers, furniture, banners, costumes which provides excellent insight into the LatRC activities from 1918 till nowadays.

In 2016 the exhibition will continue its way along Kurzeme and Zemgale regions – it will be opened also in Kuldiga, Dobele, Aizpute and Jelgava. Until now LatRC traveling exhibition has visited such cities as Riga, Aluksne, Madona, Olaine, Krimulda, Gulbene, Liepaja, Jekabpils, Ludza, Rezekne, Limbazi and Daugavpils. It will continue its way of traveling around the country until 2018 – the 100 anniversary of Latvian Red Cross. Full photo album please see HERE!
