We are proud!

On December 4, representatives of the Women`s Cooperation Network visited the Latvian Red Cross (LatRC) to personally present the Flame Award for Women Leaders 2024. In the category “For Support to Ukraine”, the award was granted to Olha Lysenko, a member of the project team at Headquarters, has been actively engaged in monitoring and providing support to displaced Ukrainians in Latvia.
Drawing on her previous experience as a volunteer with the Ukrainian Red Cross, Olha has been energetically and wholeheartedly coordinating activities and projects to support Ukrainian civilians since her very first day with the LatRC team. Her work is distinguished by her care, dedication, and steadfast commitment to serving those in need.
LatRC continues to provide vital assistance to displaced Ukrainians in Latvia through a wide array of social integration and mental health support activities. In addition to these efforts, LatRC actively participates in various discussions on the integration of Ukrainians, bringing attention to critical issues identified through its ongoing monitoring activities. This ensures that the voices and needs of the displaced community are represented and addressed effectively.

LatRC remains steadfast in its mission to support those in need, particularly Ukrainians displaced by the armed conflict. The organization is dedicated to empowering individuals, fostering resilience in the present, and equipping them for a hopeful future in Ukraine.
