Moving in One Rhythm: Annual Health Days Have Concluded

05.08 2026 Health promotion

From July 31 to August 2, the anniversary – 25th annual Health Days for Healthcare and Social Care Workers of Latvia, organized by the Latvian Red Cross (LRC), took place in Ķegum at the “Puduri” recreation complex.

The event brought together more than 1,000 participants from all over Latvia, offering both adults and children the opportunity to test their agility, accuracy, erudition, strength, and patience.

A total of 24 teams competed in various sports and mind disciplines, including volleyball, women’s football, tug-of-war, tourism relay, triathlon, fishing, plant identification, orienteering, and more.

In an intense and close competition, this year’s traveling trophy was awarded to team “Mazuļi” from the Centre of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases of Riga East Clinical University Hospital. We warmly congratulate the winners on their outstanding achievement!

Gratitude for Being Together and Support

We extend our gratitude to every participant who joined what was perhaps the most athletic weekend of August.

Special thanks to the supporters and partners of the event: the Ministry of Health, the Latvian Medical Association, and the Trade Union of Health and Social Care Employees of Latvia.

Active Tourism Centre “Eži” ensured the smooth running and great atmosphere of the event. Thanks also to the “Puduri” recreation complex, “Nestle Baltics”, and SIA “Latvian Catering Company”.

At the conclusion of the event, a unanimous “Yes” was voiced for holding the Health Days next year as well — on the first weekend of August.

Thank you all for the energy, sense of togetherness, and joy created!

Together we can help!
