LatRC recently met with a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross

The Latvian Red Cross recently met with a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross – ICRC located in Warsaw. Together with the representatives of Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Defence valuable experiences were exchanged. Key discussions included:

  • Enhancing cooperation in humanitarian aid and civil protection,  
  • Ensuring compliance with international humanitarian law in armed conflicts,
  • Addressing global crises and upholding the Red Cross mandate and fundamental principles,
  • Supporting vulnerable populations,
  • Providing aid to Ukraine. 

This collaboration strengthens our shared commitment to alleviating human suffering and supporting those in need worldwide.
