LatRC Youth volunteers participates in the international project “Digital Condom”

On 20 – 28 September, 2019  the Latvian Red Cross Youth (LatRCY) volunteers team was participating in a great youth exchange project “Digital Condom” organized by our colleagues Hungarian Red Cross.

During project, participants from 7 different countries Hungary, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Spain and Italy gained new knowledge and experience, shared their thoughts and opinions, made connections and tried to solve problems connected to the project topics.

 The main themes of the exchange were peer pressure, cyber-bullying, gender roles and sexual minorities, relationships, self-esteem, sex education and hate speech. Each team had the opportunity to conduct their own workshop and intercultural night – in which the Latvian delegation was assigned and presented a workshop on contraception. By the end of the project, participants had created different materials – videos, posters, online courses etc. – to share with other people from all over the world via the “Digital Condom” website, which is currently being produced.

“We are pleased with the opportunity to be a part of “Digital Condom” project and thank all the participants and organizers of the youth exchange!”, said LatRC Youth team.
