On 18-19th February 2016 Austrian Red Cross hosted a PrepAGE working group final meeting in Vienna, Austria. The aim of the meeting was to exchange the experiences from each partner countries within the international Project PrepAGE – Enhancing disaster management preparedness for the older population in the EU.

All project Partners – representatives of Austrian Red Cross,  British Red Cross, Latvian Red Cross, Bulgarian Red Cross, Croatian Red Cross, and University of Innsbruck –  exchanged their experiences from already organized community-based exercises in each country, discussed the necessary further steps for finalizing the exercise guide which will available by the end of the project to be used by local stakeholders, and also evaluated and reviewed the project.

The aim of the PrepAGE project is to introduce the special requirements of older people into emergency and disaster preparedness and prevention programmes. It is implemented in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Latvia and the United Kingdom from 1 April 2014 to 31 May 2016. More information about the project is available at the webpage: http://prepage.eu/en/
