Latvian Red Cross invites YOUNG AND BECOMING PARENTS

to participate in educational activities!

The planned sessions in May

Date Themes of sessions
 14th May  10:00–12:00 The theme of the session: child’s development “crises” until the age of 1.5 years

What is a “development crisis” and how does it express? (reasons for the crisis and its features, how to recognise them, how to get prepared and how to address them);

What is “the crises calendar”? (how to calculate the crisis periods depending on the date of birth);

How to help the child to overcome the crisis?

What games/plays/activities are the most suitable ones for specific periods of time?

 21st May 10:00–12:00 The theme of the creative session: “Information for further development” and the creative workshop “I love you, Latvia!” During the session we will talk about all topical issues and the themes covered during the cycle of sessions; We will write down the necessary telephone numbers and addresses of homepages; We will discuss any questions; During the creative workshop we will make a card with a wish for ourselves: “what would I like to learn in Latvia?”The sessions will take place at 1B Sarlotes Street, Riga.

 

Mothers and fathers are very welcome to come to the sessions together with their children! Children will have the possibility to stay in a special playground area.

The participation in the support groups – educational activities is free of charge.
