Latvian Red Cross, with a support of Latvian Ministry of Culture, last 6 months has been active in implementing activities of the project “Open to the World, Open to Diversity” with a support by the European Fund for the Integration of third-country nationals, No. IF/2013/1.a./12.

Project implementation period: 05.12.2014. – 30.06.2015.

Project implementation regions: Riga, Riga region, Ventspils, Daugavpils, Liepaja, Saldus.

The target group of the project: non-citizens and third-country nationals – citizens of countries other than the European Union Member States, the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation.

The aim of the project was to improve the existing situation and to develop new materials for the Third-country nationals in order to support the adaptation process and integration possibilities in Latvia.

Within the project, we have developed 4 informative materials in English and Russian on these topics:

  • Employment rights;
  • Health and social assistance services;
  • Education in Latvia;
  • Activities of Non-governmental Organisations in Latvia and Participation in Them.
